Our correspondent reports that under tariff structure, customers under Band A are those receiving 20-24 hours power supply daily while those in Band B are subscribers who enjoy 16 to 20 hours.
Customers under Band C enjoy electricity for 12 to 16 hours daily while those in Band D are beneficiaries of eight to 12 hours of power daily, which Band E subscribers only enjoy four to eight hours of electricity consumption everyday.
He said, “We have picketed Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, Regional office of Jos Electricity Distribution Company, Doma district regional offices.”
While delivering its demands contained in letters to the various offices, Aish said, “Our message is to show our dismay over the band issue, what we are saying is that nobody is more superior than anyone. Every citizen has rights of getting social amenities. We are calling for outright cancellation of bands, they should revert back to status quo on the issue of the tariff.”

Aish disclosed that Doma feeder had provided power for less than two hours to customers, adding “Doma feeder is the worst in Gombe State, in over three weeks that the state experienced outage those on the feeder have not had two hours of power. We want to see drastic changes that was why we submitted our letters for submission to their headquarters.”
