In a thrilling turn of events, police have arrested the alleged mastermind behind the violent assault on the Abuja-Kaduna passenger train.
PERISCOPE NIGERIA reports that the onslaught occurred in March 2022.
Identified as Ibrahim Abdullahi, also known by the ominous moniker of Mandi, this arrest marks a significant breakthrough in the investigation.
During a press briefing in Kaduna, Public Relations Officer ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, informed the media that the suspect had also participated in the abduction of students from Greenfield University in 2021.
The police said that 48 AK-47 rifles were seized during Mandi’s arrest, and efforts are underway to identify his sponsors and supplier of weapons.
