President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has given his approval for the appointment of Bala Ngilari the former Governor of Adamawa State, as the pro-chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Board of University of Calabar, Cross River State.
Ngilari (born 4 December 1972) is a Nigerian lawyer and politician who served as governor of Adamawa State from October 2014 to May 2015 following the impeachment of Murtala Nyako.
He previously served as deputy governor from 2007 to 2008, and from 2008 to 2014 under Nyako. He was succeeded as governor by Bindo Jibrilla, the winner of the 2015 Adamawa State gubernatorial election.
