Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, the Labour Party’s 2023 vice presidential candidate, has asserted that Nobel laureate Prof Wole Soyinka is “afraid in advance” of the positive changes Obi could bring to Nigeria.
He revealed this in an interview with Arise TV, Baba-Ahmed emphasized that intellectual prowess does not grant anyone the right to insult others.
This statement comes after Soyinka publicly criticized Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, labeling him as incompetent and advising him against contesting in the 2027 presidential election.
Baba-Ahmed urged the interviewer to focus on more pressing national issues, suggesting it was time to move past Soyinka’s remarks.
Recall that Soyinka stated that he will evaluate Tinubu’s performance after one year in office and Nigerians are still waiting for his honest review.
