Senator Godswill Akpabio, Senate President, has expressed determination that the APC will emerge victorious over the incumbent Governor Godwin Obaseki and the ruling Peoples Democratic Party in the forthcoming gubernatorial elections in Edo State.
Senator Akpabio provided the assurance at the South-South Zonal Party meeting in Calabar on Sunday.
He said, “I am hoping that by the time we’ll hold this meeting next year, we shall be sitting with two Governors from the South-south zone
“God has enabled the zone to be on the table and centre of Governance in the country.
“45 years after the Late Senator Joseph Wayas, my emergence as Senate President is in the best interest of the zone. If we are committed, we will achieve anything, we are going to defeat Obaseki.”
