Adebiyi Adeyeye, President, National Union of Electricity Employees, has faulted Transmission Company of Nigeria claim that the ongoing blackout across many cities in the country was as a result of its activities.
Adeyeye made this disclosure in an interview with Television Continental, Lagos, while explaining the union’s role in the black.
Recall that TCN had blamed the blackout on the union’s interruption of processes which hampered the national grid.
Adeyeye said, “Allegations by TCN that we shut down the national grid are false. The grid is back, but some people in Band E may not have power for the next 4 days. Banding electricity is a scam.”
