The Nigeria Governors’ Forum, comprising 36 state governors, has vehemently declared the Federal Government’s N60,000 minimum wage proposal as unviable and destined to fail.
NGF made this disclosure while reacting to the current debate ongoing with organised Labour and FG.
In a statement issued by Mrs. Halima Ahmed, the acting Director of Media Affairs and Public Relations for the Forum.
“It was observed that if permitted, numerous states would exhaust all their monthly allocations from the federation account in order to pay workers,” the Forum stated.
