The Vice Chancellor of Federal University Kashere, Professor Umaru Pate, says his administration will build a Teaching Hospital and Senate building soonest.
Pate, further disclosed that his administration will establish a new brand teaching hospital for the institution before his tenure expiration.
PERISCOPE NIGERIA reports that FUK is one of the nascent universities founded by administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan.
It was established in 2010 by Jonathan’s administration as one of the nine new federal universities created in the six geo-political zones of Nigeria.
Speaking at the Mass communication Students Association, maiden annual public lecture, on Tuesday at the Entrepreneurship Centre, FUK, the Professor of Society and Media said that his administration also secured “over ₦4 billion naira to build a new brand senate building for the Federal University Kashere, Gombe,” he added.
Also, the good will messages came from Mrs Eugenia Abu of former NTA and now DailyTrust Television, where she described the Vice- Chancellor of Federal University Kashere, Professor Umaru Pate as a builder of men and women.
“He has mentored many people within and outside the country,” she said.
PERISCOPE NIGERIA reports that special guests include Professor Wilson Joseph, the Head of the Department of the FUK, Adullateef Abubakar Jos and Director-General of Gombe Media Corporation, Alhaji Ibrahim Isah.
