…Says he’d be sorely missed

Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in September 21 governorship election in Edo State, Dr Asue Ighodalo, has mourned the Secretary of the Igueben Local Government Area, Hon. Brodricks Emuze Ihenisekhen, whose sad news of death was announced on Thursday.
In a statement by his media team, Ighodalo was quoted as expressing deep shock and sadness at the suddenness of his passing.
He said: ” I received the sad news of the passing of our beloved brother with deep shock and sadness. The suddenness of the whole thing makes it all the more painful. There’s no doubt, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) family in Igueben has lost a really dedicated, warm, affectionate and compassionate leader in the person of Hon. Brodricks Emuze Ihenisekhen, the Secretary to the Igueben Local Government Area. He would be sorely missed.
“Our thoughts are with the immediate and extended family at this trying moment of theirs and the whole Igueben LGA PDP family.
“This sad event has occurred at the time we all need his services, words of advice and his ability to mobilize people for any occasion by the party.
“While we pray for the peaceful repose of his gentle and amiable soul, we also ask God Almighty to grant his immediate family, friends and relatives the fortitude and grace to bear the irreplaceable loss.
” I urge all of us in Igueben to accept this sad development with philosophical equanimity knowing full well that we all will one day pay this debt individually,” Ighodalo admonished.
Igholado also commiserated with the Executive Chairman of Igueben Local Government Council, Hon.(Engr) Clement Asuelimhen, and all the staff of the council, praying to God to keep this type of sad news far from the council workers.
Brodricks reportedly died late Wednesday evening, June 19, 2024.
The late Brodricks was considered a bridge between the old and new breed of politicians and doubled as a Youth mobilizer in the area.
He was said to be a reliable, strong ally and a strategic partner of the State Governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki.
Following the sad development, the Igueben chapter of the PDP suspended all political activities yesterday Thursday June 20, 2024 as a mark of respect for the deceased.
He is survived by parents,wife, children, brothers and sisters.
