The National Youth Service Corps 2024 batch “B” stream I orientation course will commence from Wednesday, 26th June to Tuesday, 16th July, 2024 nationwide, with Gombe State expecting 1,592 prospective corps members.
Disclosing this in a press statement signed by Jennifer Laha,
Head, Public Relations Unit; on behalf of Gombe State Coordinator, Chinwe Nwachuku, on Tuesday the three-week mandatory exercise is scheduled to take place at the NYSC temporary orientation camp, Government Science Technical College, Amada, Akko Local Government Area of the state.
The press statement partly read, “A total number of 1592 Prospective Corps Members are deployed to the state.”

The statement noted that formal opening / swearing – in ceremony will hold on Tuesday, 2nd July, 2024 at 10:00am, adding that Governor of Gombe State, “Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya CON is expected to preside over the event, while the Chief Judge of Gombe State, Justice Halima Mohammed will administer the Oath of Allegiance on the Corps Members deployed to the State for national service,” the statement added.
While urging for maximum cooperation the statement enjoined the peace loving people of Gombe State especially those around Akko LGA and environs to accord the corps members the usual hospitality and peaceful co-existence that Gombe State is known for.
