Following economic hardship in the country and the need to ameliorate worsening challenges, the Nigerian Bar Association Gombe State branch has donated food to patients currently receiving treatment at Specialist Hospital.
PERISCOPE NIGERIA reports that the provision of food was after the branch’s monthly meeting held on Wednesday.

Speaking at the Specialist Hospital, Branch Chairman Benjamin Sati, said the provision was part of his members way of showing solidarity, adding that it was in the forthcoming Muslim celebration.
He said, “The essence of this gathering to show support through visit to a particular section of Gombe State Specialist Hospital to see the conditions and to see people especially to bring greetings to them and fraternise with them.
“Seeing that sallah is approaching in a couple of days and some of these people on admission we may not have opportunity to show love to them on sallah day. We decided today to show love by giving water and some food items after greeting and praying for them ofcourse we are all children of God notwithstanding that we are lawyers we deemed it necessary to offer Christian and Muslim prayers for God to quicken their recovery and for God to make us have the means to pay their medical bills for God to open doors for them. The best we could we have offered.”
On the just concluded monthly congress meeting, Sati said “It’s a matter of legal provision we usually discuss issues that pertain to lawyers. Issues of national interest within the geographical location of Gombe State. We are proposing a law week for 4th-7th of July and we had principally committee of the law week to tell us how far they have prepared for the law week.”
