Executive Chairman of the Adamawa State Planning Commission, Dr Mary Paninga, has assured of the sustainability of United States Agency for International Development State Accountability, Transparency, and Effectiveness’ activities in Adamawa State.

PERISCOPE NIGERIA reports that Paninga made this disclosure while speaking at the fifth year Consultative Work Plan Workshop.
She guaranteed that each platform and intervention will be sustained, with follow ups and monitoring by the state planning commission.

She emphasised that the state government is committed to ensuring the continuation of programmes initiated through the S2S activity, which has been nurtured to maturity, assuring that every discussion and agreement reached during the workshop would be followed up, and action plans will be implemented at the community level.
“As the monitoring apparatus of the State, the Planning Commission will ensure that all agreed-upon points are sustained, and output is realised for the benefit of Adamawa State citizens,” she said.

Paninga also highlighted that the budget will be inclusive of the S2S project, and the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning will ensure rigorous follow up on allocations and releases to guarantee sustainability.
She added, “With this assurance, the Adamawa State Planning Commission demonstrates its commitment to ensuring the long-term impact of USAID’s S2S activities in Adamawa State.”
