In response to their disagreement with Governor Fubara, members of the pro-Wike Rivers lawmakers have announced a halt in state expenditures.
After giving Governor Siminalayi Fubara a seven-day ultimatum, the directed a halt to all state spending until the 2024 budget is brought before the House under his leadership.
Martin Amaewhule, the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly loyal with Nyesom Wike, has announced a total suspension of state spending.
