… begins Kaltungo LGA’s reconstruction
The Secretary to Government of Gombe State, Professor Ibrahim Njodi, on Thursday inspected ongoing reconstruction work in the secretariats of Akko and Kaltungo Local Government Areas.


Both projects were awarded by Governor Muhammadu Yahaya, in his administration’s ongoing effort to provide a conducive working environment for staff of Local Government Areas in the state.
At a section of Kumo Central Primary School which is currently housing the Local Government Secretariat, the Secretariat NJodi reemphasised the present administration’s commitment to leave the state better than it met it.








He explained, “the inspection visit was at the behest of Governor Inuwa Yahaya in order to ensure that the reconstruction of the Local Government Secretariat is executed according to specifications.”
He enjoined the Chairman of the Council and his subordinating staff not to look the other way should they notice anything contrary to the state government approved plan for the reconstruction work.
The chairman of Akko Local Government Area Mohammed Adamu, had while welcoming the SGS and his entourage explained that “since the construction of the Secretariat in 1976, no renovation work was carry out on the structure.”
He expressed gratitude to Yahaya for approving the reconstruction of the Secretariat in order to provide a better working environment for staffs of the council.
Shortly after rounding off the inspection visit to Akko, the SGS and his entourage had a brief stop over to inspect the completed bridge linking Gada uku and Sansani villages in Billiri Local Government Area before proceeded to Kaltungo LGA ongoing work at the Timothy Shelpidi Secretariat.
Speaking in Kaltungo LGA the Gombe SSG commended the governor for swiftly approving the reconstruction of the Secretariat which was recently blown off by wind storm.
He called on the people of Kaltungo to unite and work in solidarity with the All Progressive Congress (APC) considering the numerous developmental projects its has brought to the area.

thanked the governor for caring heart towards the people of Kaltungo LGA.
He enumerated the Dogon ruwa erosion control works, the tsangaya School, the Yiri road, the reconstruction of Kaltungo General Hospital and renovation and remodelling of GSSS Kaltungo (Lakanje) as some of the laudable achievements by the administration of Governor Inuwa Yahaya in Kaltungo LGA.
Also, contractor handling the reconstruction of the Kaltungo LGA Secretariat Engineer Idris Nware assured the SSG of his company’s determination to deliver the project on record time and according to specifications.
In an interview with newsmen after inspecting the projects Njodi expressed satisfaction on the quality of work, commending the Director-General Joint Project Development Dr Mahmood Yusuf, for his close monitoring of the projects.
He also called on the two contractors handling the project to speed up and deliver within record time.
