The Government of Gombe State, family members, friends and well wishers of late Mr Bulus Kudi, Permanent Commissioner Gombe State Electoral Commission have poured encomiums on the deceased as his body was buried at the Christian cemetery along Bajoga road.
The interment was preceded by a funeral service at ECWA Goodnews, Gombe where the deceased worshipped before his sudden and unfortunate demise.

At the funeral, there was a manifest presence of top government functionaries including the Deputy Governor, Dr Manassah Daniel Jatau, and the Speaker, Gombe State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Abubakar Luggerewo respectively represented by the Permanent Secretary Deputy Governor’s Office, Mrs Larai Maigari and the Chairman House Committee on Special Duties,Hon.Gabriel Galadima, as well as Hon. Enos Maisamari Kushi, permanent commissioner, GOSIEC and Hon.Finney David, Special Adviser on Women Affairs to the governor among others.



Speaking to the sympathisers, Jatau conveyed the condolences of the governor, deputy governor, government and people of Gombe State to the Church, communities in Yamaltu Deba Local Government and all the immediate family for the colossal loss occasioned by the exit of the permanent commissioner of GOSIEC.
She said the death of late Kudi came to the government as a rude shock considering that it was very sudden and unfortunate.
” The testimonies we have heard are attestations to the fact that Mr. Bulus was a very committed and dedicated person who impacted on his community, the Church, and all those who crossed his part. Let’s therefore reflect on our own lifestyle to be able to leave lasting legacies to be remembered for when we are no more,” he added.
Delivering the sermon, Pastor Stephen Olatayo drew his text from the Gospel of Saint Luke Chapter 16 verses 19-26 highlighting on three points, including life’s reality, common destiny, and reality of heaven and hell.
He said , in this life people categorised by the lifestyle they live, some live in opulence, one in abject poverty, some are celebrated while some are despised but a common destiny awaits all since all mortals shall die and face judgement.
The Clergyman who spoke on the theme ” who died when” further explained that death comes at any age, any point and anytime never limited by circumstances, stressing that since nobody knows how to die people should get prepared always.
Those who paid tribute to the deceased include, the deceased’s wife Mrs Lina and children, Uncle, Sabo Madi Lubo, Representative of Emir of Yamaltu, the District Head of Zambuk, Alh. Usman Ibrahim, the representative of the district head of Yamaltu, Barr Musa Kalah Hinna, Friend, Mr Abubakar Wakili, and Mr.Edward Wabundani, Representative of Men’s Fellowship ECWA Goodnews GRA, Mr. Holen Sedi, Representative of ECWA Church Hinna,and the Secretary ECWA Goodnews Church GRA, Mr. Pilan Sogi,all who described the deceased as humble, gentle, and philanthropic.
While at the final internment on the Christian cemetery ground,along Bajoga road, the Pastor in charge of ECWA Goodnews Church, GRA Gombe,Rev.Apollos Hassan,admonished sympathisers to prepare for rapture as it may come unaware, describing that our being on earth is like a sojourn.
Expressing its vote of thanks on behalf of the family and the entire Hinna community, an Elder Statesman,Hon. Habu Zarma, applauded all sympathisers for sparing their time to mourn with them in this brief moment and pray that God will replenish everyone according to His abundance.
