The Senate Committee on Health has pledged to resolve the power supply, allocation of funds and medical training in Federal Teaching Hospital.








This was stated by the Chairperson Senate Committee on Health, Dr Ifalido Harry Banigo, when members had an oversight visit to the facilities of the Hospital to feel the pulse of the health sector in the federation.
Banigo while answering questions from Journalists said that, “the Hospital looks well organised with an enabling environment, hence we will strive to improve the power supply to be well maintained and functionally efficient, then propose for more funds allocation for the health institutions and for more slots of medical training.”
Speaking earlier, Chief Medical Director, Dr Yusuf Abdullahi, expressed excitement over the commendation given to the hospital, “on its records and we are glad for the acceptance by the Committee of all the Hospital complaints presented, which include power bills, diesel supply and training for manpower development to tackle the issue of brain drain,” he added.
PERISCOPE NIGERIA reports that during the visit, the Committee members were conducted round major facilities, which include the NHIS newly built complex, labour room and CT scan machine platform that needs installation of a new one.
