Taraba State chapter of the All progressives congress, has commended President Bola Tinubu for appointing Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho as the new Managing Director, Nigerian Port Authority (NPA).
The party’s Publicity Secretary, Mr Aaron Artimas, noted during a press briefing on Tuesday in Jalingo that the appointment was a demonstration of president Tinubu’s acknowledgement of the huge contribution of Taraba APC in the last general election.
Artimas said the entire members of the party in Taraba were greatful for the appointment and thanked president Tinubu for remembering state with such sensitive position.
“The appointment of Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho is historic and monumental. We sincerely thank president Bola Tinubu for the appointment. It’s a demonstration of acknowledgement of the huge contribution the state APC gave during the last general election.
“Dr Dantsoho a certified and brilliant maritime expert who had previously served in many role in the Nigerian Port Authority including port manager and Technical assistance to a former Managing Director of NPA, and we are confident that he we deliver on the mandate assigned,” Artimas on behalf of APC commended.
The Publicity Secretary, however, expressed that Taraba state chapter of the party was still looking forward for more of such important appointments coming from Taraba state, and appealed to president Tinubu to consider the state with more of such appointments.
“Even as we appreciate president Tinubu for appointing Dr Dantsoho in such a sensitive position, we wish to appeal that there is need for the president to consider the state for more of such appointments as a way of availing it’s members a better sense of belonging to enable them contribute to the National development.
“While we congratulate Dr Dantsoho for the well deserved appointment, we wish to assure Nigerians that Dantsoho is a perfect man for the Job, especially at this point in time that Nigeria need a committed and results oriented leaders at the helms of affairs
“We will work closely with him to ensure that Taraba state obtain maximum benefits from the rare privilege given by president Tinubu,” the APC assured.
