The Nigerian Army 301 Artillery Regiment (General Support), Gombe on Tuesday announced its intention to conduct second schedule range classification exercise from Wednesday to Friday 23 August 2024.
Our correspondent reports the exercise would be conducted at its small arms range in Malate- Liji, Yalmatu-Deba, to improve officer’s and men arms handling.
This was contained in a press statement obtained by our correspondent which was signed by Captain M Attah, Assistant Director Army Public Relations 301 Arty Regiment (General Support) Gombe State.
The statement partly read, “The 301 Artillery Regiment (General Support), Gombe will conduct its second schedule Range Classification Exercise from Wednesday 21 to Friday 23 August 2024 at 301 Artillery Regiment (General Support) Small Arms Range in Malete – Liji Area, Yamaltu – Deba Local Government Area, Gombe State by 0600hrs daily.”
While emphasising the aim of the exercise Attah added, “The aim is to improve the weapon handling capacity of its personnel. As a precautionary measure, residents in the Malete – Liji Range area are kindly urged not to panic on hearing sounds of weapons fired and to equally keep off the area within the stated period.”
