On Wednesday, August 21, 2024, the Egor Local Government Peoples Democratic Party campaign council carried out an impactful visit to Ward 9, Okhoro Community, as part of its ongoing campaign audit. This visit marked Day 8 of the council’s strategic engagement with key communities, reinforcing the party’s commitment to the people of Egor Local Government Area ahead of the gubernatorial election scheduled for September 21, 2024.
The campaign team was led by Dr. Osagie Osifo, Director-General of the Egor Campaign Council, and Chief Manfred Ekundayo Idehen, the PDP Egor Local Government Party Chairman. The day was characterised by significant interactions with community leaders, expressions of appreciation for past developments, and calls for further improvements.

Omoregie, alongside the distinguished Odionwere of Okhoro Community, Pa. Ediagbonya Igbinomwanhia. The community leaders took this opportunity to express their heartfelt appreciation to the amiable and indefatigable Governor of Edo State for the remarkable developmental strides in Okhoro, particularly the construction and rehabilitation of roads in the area.The campaign team continued to Okhoro Road, engaging with the Odionwere of Okhoro Hotel Street and its environs, Hon. Adams Onaiwu. Joined by other esteemed leaders, including Pa. Otabor and Hon. Moses Osarumwense Godwin, the Ward 09 Campaign Council Coordinator, the Ward 09 Chairman, Mr. Julius Owegie, and the Councillor representing Ward 09, Hon. Inneh Elliot, were instrumental in coordinating the visit and ensuring that the campaign message was effectively communicated. Their leadership, coupled with the enthusiastic support from the community, underscored the strong alliance between the PDP and the people of Okhoro.
The community once again voiced their gratitude for the Governor’s efforts. The improved road infrastructure has significantly enhanced connectivity and the overall quality of life in the community.

Specifically, the elders called on the relevant authorities to address the community’s pressing need for a standard healthcare center.
