Why President Tinubu Would Not Interfere in September 21 Election
Edo State APC under Comrade Adams Oshiomhole is a pathetic lot at discernment. This tragic flaw accounts for why they could manage to come out with an Akpakomiza for a candidate. Having cornered themselves to such a beleaguered political cul-de-sac, they are frantically manufacturing all sorts of desperate myths to keep their followers on their leech, at least until after their electoral defeat in September.
One of such myths they are serving to their members is that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will use Federal might to rig the Edo Guber election in their favour, because they all know together that 100 Akpakomizas could never win the election of September 21 in Edo.
Let us be clear from the outset, President Bola Tinubu will NOT rig the Edo September 21 election! Take that to the bank! The people planning to rig the election, if they could, are the managers of the APC candidate, whose desperations are at fatalistic levels! They are the ones trying to intimidate us here in Edo State and wanting to give the impression that their failed attempts are from President.Tinubu!
President Tinubu is passing through a process of self recreation and wants the final product at the end of that recreation to look like the person he has always wanted to be: that is, a Democrat and a Statesman. Discernment helped us to observe how quickly the President despatched some below the line friends he had before he became President, but whose actions and reputations were undermining the dignified Office of the President. If these reversed literates in Edo think that President Tinubu will dump those allies, that at least had certain values to offer, to inherit a throwback charlatan, with zero value to add to him, but much baggage to supply, then they have another thinking coming!
Also, as a strategic hub in Nigeria, the very heart of the nation beats here in Edo. The President is a boardroom strategist, whose serial actions are driven by pragmatic impulses. The President is most certainly going to weigh the strategic relevance of having an Asue Ighodalo or an Akpakomiza at the helm of affairs, at inevitable critical times, when the President will require degrees of inputs and cooperation; especially such as are expected without words and gotten, because the Governor could understand critical trajectories by himself without being told by other 3rd rate minds he inevitably relies on etc. Almost anyone can guess who will be the President’s choice!
Similarly, Edo State is a component unit of a larger Federation. There is constant interactions on diverse fronts between the component States and the Federal government. Sometimes Governors are left to read not just the lines, but also in between the lines in taking positions on sensitive issues that should transcend political party leaning. This requires a set of initiatives at different times. It will severally call for high degrees of emotional intelligence, brinkmanship and critical thinking. And or, at other times, skills in the nitty gritty of national interests acquired from having served at national assignments, or having interacted long enough in that upper echelon. All of these would be so overwhelming to Akpakomiza that he could so muddle up things, he will bring us close to a civil war. That’s how Ignorant and far removed he is from the scheme of things. Even the basics at this moment have befuddled his mind enough! President Tinubu cannot afford to risk such a blunderer at such critical times, that are set to get even more dicey in national issues and political realignments. All over the world, researches have shown that intelligent men are easier to get critical cooperation from, than illiterates; especially ones that have many masters like Akpakomiza!
We would therefore advise our APC friends to begin to look to a defeat that should not be too painful; considering that they know in their inner hearts that it will be an error of nature to impose Akpakomiza on Edo people and a mortal sin, to do so through using the so called Federal might! We know that President Tinubu is not behind all their lies and nefarious activities in the name of Federal might! So, we nor de fear!
