The boss, Association of Local Governments of Nigeria ALGON, Taraba State Chapter and chairman Jalingo LGA, Dr Aminu Jauro Hassan, has appreciated the Governor of Taraba State, Dr Agbu Kefas for creating an enabling environment in the state for the Peoples Democratic Party, to conduct its Local Government congress across the state.

Aminu gave this appreciation while delivering vote of thanks at the Jalingo PDP Secretary shortly after the exercise had completed in the Local Government Council

The chairman who described Kefas as a true democrat, noted that the governor completely allowed all the 16 Local Government Councils to elect leaders of their choice.

“I want to use this opportunity to appreciate his excellency, Dr Agbu Kefas for his deep commitment towards democratic processes within our party, PDP and the entire state.

“I also want to appreciate his excellency for creating enabling environment across the state for us to have this peaceful exercise. I congratulate the new executives of Jalingo Local Government and indeed, the rest of the other Local Government Areas and encouraged that they should continue to work hard and in unity towards building the party, so that the state would sustain its usual victory in the state,” he added.

Earlier, the newly elected PDP chairman, Jalingo Local Government, Dauda Mukaila Mallam, had said his victory at the election was a victory for all members of the party.

He lauded the governor, Kefas for allowing a level play ground for the election to take place free and fair without interference and assured the the people that he would worked harmoniously with the party’s leadership in the state and his exco to unite members and build the party to a greater height

The new secretary, PDP, Jalingo Local Government, Mr Zachari Mandaki, also commended delegates for their mature and peaceful conduct at the elections and assured members that the Dauda Mukaila’s led exco, would unite members of the party for excellent result comes 2027

Mr Mandaki stated that Governor Kefas had already done the campaign for the party based on the mind blowing projects he spread across the state, stating that Taraba people are already rest assured that they have gotten their desired leader

Meanwhile, the election which was done through concensus in Jalingo, just as many other Local Government Areas of the state, saw Mr Dauda Mukaila Mallam as the new chairman, Jolly Mashi as Vice chairman, Zachari Mandaki Secretary and Jori Buba as Women Leader.

Others are Sahabi Umar Sambo (Jaru) as Youth Leader, Yusuf Ibrahim Assistant Secretary, Hassan Dahiru, Treasurer, Markus Shugaba Financial Secretary, Audi Buba PRO 1, Albert Michael PRO II, Suleiman Bakeri Org Secretary and Ahmadu Gado as Auditor

Daniel Nomaru emerged as Legal Adviser while Saidu M. Adamu, Usman Bobo, Martha Gideon, Iskilu Shehu and Suleiman Audu all emerged as Ex- officios, except Alh Lawandi Bala Atake, the outgoing chairman, who emerged as the National delegate of the party in the Local Government respectively.
