The Security Situation Room has welcomed to Edo State of Nigeria the 47th Commissioner of Police CPNemi Edwin -Iwo.
According to a press statement signed by the Convener; Barrister Douglas Ogbankwa, the latest deployment is appropriate, the group also hailed the outgoing Commissioner of Police for his efforts.
Ogbankwa’s statement partly read, “We wish the outgoing CP Edo State, CP Funsho Adegboye,MNI , the best in his future endeavours, as we wish for higher heights for him and pray that God gives the New CP Edo State-CPNemi Edwin-Iwo the wisdom to pilot the affairs of the security architecture of one of the most complex states in Nigeria , the Police being the lead Agency in the Security Services.
“We are positive that the appointment of the New CP will lead to a seamless electioneering process for the up coming 21st September,2024 Gubernatorial Elections and ask for all the political players to cooperate with the new CP to ensure a safe and rancour free society for all.Policing is every one ‘s responsibility and the understanding of this trajectory, plays a great row in bringing about a better society for all.
