Amidst the biting hardship, excruciating hunger, and frustrating cost of living, the APC Governorship Candidate in Edo State has declared his support for the new Fuel Price increase and urged Edo people to stand by Tinubu as he is the best President in Nigeria’s history.
He made this disclosure while granting a forced and error ridden interview by BBC Pidgin after having dodged several invitations for interview by several TV stations including Channels TV and Arise TV. He said Tinubu was a courageous Leader and that Nigerians should support him.
Okpebholo’s ringing endorsement of Tinubu underscores the widely held notion by many Edo People that Monday Okpebholo a.k.a Akpakomiza is a colossal disaster that must never happen to Edo State.
Beyond his poor grasp of English language and incompetence also lies a wicked heart that is tone deaf and insensitive to the plight of the people. It will be recalled that his reaction to the ₦70,000 minimum wage announced by Gov. Godwin Obaseki was negative and he issued a statement against it indicating that he will reduce it.
Pray, tell how will any sane person support this fuel price increase and other evil policies of the APC govt which has impoverished our people with most Nigerians unable to afford even a decent meal a day?
Petrol currently sells for ₦1,500 per litre in most parts of Benin city with transport fares rising to the roof. Prices of food items have shot up with a bag of rice selling for almost ₦100,000. A crate of medium sized eggs is now about ₦5,200, a loaf of bread is ₦2000, inflation has hit 40% under this evil APC regime.
In the face of all these, Akpakomiza is publicly supporting the fuel price hike and calling Tinubu the best President and that Edo people must support him.
If we don’t reject APC in Edo, APC will kill us.
