In a remarkable display of unwavering support and admiration, the women of Etsako Central LGA received Mrs Betsy Obaseki, wife of the Governor of Edo State, Mrs Sandra Godwin Omobayo, wife of the Deputy Governor, and Mrs Ifeyinwa Ighodalo, wife of the PDP gubernatorial candidate, in grand style.
The dignitaries, including the Commissioner, Executive Director, and Chieftain of the Edo PDP Women’s wing, embarked on a significant thank-you tour to Etsako Central LGA.
Speaking at the event, Mrs Josephine Obomighie, wife of the Executive Chairman of Etsako Central LGA, said the overwhelming show of love and support from Etsako Central women for Asue and Ogie underscores their desire for positive change and a new direction in leadership.
She emphasised the need for unity, saying, “Etsako Central women are fully ready and united in their resolve to reject the APC and embrace the pathway to the Edo of our dreams.”
During the visit, Mrs Obaseki expressed heartfelt appreciation to the women of Etsako Central for their steadfast commitment to the PDP party’s mandate.
She commended them for their unwavering support and dedication, which has played a crucial role in advancing the principles and values of the PDP in Etsako Central LGA.
Mrs Obaseki explained that the tour serves as a platform for leaders to inaugurate the Edo State women’s campaign council, appreciate Etsako Central women for standing firmly with her husband, Godwin Obaseki, and establish a healthy relationship between women at the LGA level.
