The National Hydroelectric Power Producing Area Development Community has concluded plans to establish three area offices in Gombe State.
This was disclosed by Ahmed Mohammed when he led officials from its Head office in Abuja on a courtesy visit to the Secretary to Government of Gombe Professor Ibrahim Njodi.

He informed the SGS that the three area offices will be cited at Billiri, Dadin-kowa and Difa, noting that the establishment of the offices by HYPPADEC would enable the Agency perform effectively.
Mohammed used the visit to commiserate with the state over the recent flooding that ravaged some communities along the bank of Dadin kowa dam.
He therefore announced the agency’s donation of 1,000 free NECO registration forms to final year students in the affected areas, Drilling of five Solar boreholes at Difa and other affected communities as well as a planned medical outreach to be conducted soon.
The team lead further noted that plans have also been concluded to establish new nurseries centres in Difa, Billiri and Dadin-kowa respectively and thanked the state government for the warm reception accorded them.
On his part, Njodi expressed gratitude to HYPPADEC for the planned establishment of three area offices describing it as a welcome development to the Government and people of Gombe state.
He also appreciated the donation of solar boreholes, NECO forms for 1,000 students and a planned medical outreach services as part of its corporate social responsibility to communities especially those in distress.
He assured the agency that the state government will work in partnership with it for the benefit of the people.
He reiterated Governor Muhammadu Yahaya’s commitment towards protecting the environment through polices and programmes that address land depredation.
