The Redeemed Christian Church of God has suspended two of its pastors following allegations of homosexuality.
The church has initiated an investigation into the matter, aiming to address the accusations with what it calls “utmost seriousness.”
In a letter dated October 28, 2024, RCCG National Overseer, Pastor Sunday Akande, formally announced the suspension of Pastor Ayorinde AdeBello and Deacon Oke Mayowa.
The letter, addressed to the Special Assistant to the General Overseer on Administration, emphasises the church’s commitment to upholding its teachings and strict stance on homosexuality.
The letter reads, “By our mission’s commitment to upholding the teachings of the Bible, we must address these allegations with the utmost seriousness it deserves.
“As you are aware, the doctrine of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) does not allow or tolerate any act of homosexuality,” the letter added.
