The newly elected Chairman of Obio Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, Chijioke Ihunwo, has removed the name of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, from the administrative block of the council secretariat.
The former Rivers governor is from Rumuepirikom community in Obio Akpor LG and is a former local council chairman.
Wike’s name, which was boldly engraved on the administrative building of the council secretariat, has now been replaced with a former politician and activist in the state, the late Obi Wali.
In a post alongside a video posted via his X page, @AmbChijioke, on Sunday, Ihunwo showed when Wike’s name was removed from the block and replaced with Wali.
He wrote, “We have changed Wike’s name in the admin block of Obio/Akpor Council, and replaced with the name of SENATOR DR. OBI WALI.”
