People from all walks of life gathered at the Modibbo Bubayero Central Mosque to celebrate the union of Yahaya Sagir and Aisha Abba in a beautiful wedding ceremony.
The joyous occasion brought together friends, family, and well-wishers of Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Yahaya, and Alhaji Abba Waziri, showcasing the strong bonds of community and friendship.
PERISCOPE NIGERIA reports that Sagir is the nephew to the state governor.
The wedding was contracted after the announcement of N200, 000 as dowry in addition to the fulfillment of other marital obligations as enshrined in Islam.
Governor Yahaya, who was represented by the Secretary to Government of the State, Professor Ibrahim Njodi, congratulated the newly wedded couple and prayed for Allah’s guidance and blessings in their marital journey.
The Chief of Staff Government House; Abubakar Kari, the Head of Civil Service Ahmed Abdullahi, Commissioners, Special Advisers, Permanent Secretaries and other top government functionaries equally graced the ceremony.
Other notable witnesses were; members from the political and business class, members of the traditional institution and religious clerics.
The father of the groom who was visibly elated by the turn of events expressed gratitude to the high-powered government delegation, and many who had made it to ceremony.
