The Governor of Borno State, Professor Babagana Zulum, has approved the appointment of Mustapha Mainu as Chairman of the Board of El-Kanemi Warriors Football Club.
The appointment is in recognition of his unwavering commitment to the growth of the football club and the development of sports in the state.
Alongside Mustapha Mainu, Tahir Bala has been named Secretary of the board, while other members include Waziri Isa, Usman Mohammed Zumami, Ibrahim Mohammed, and a representative of the Commissioner of Police, Alhaji Maliki Mohammed.
The Secretary to the Borno State Government, Bukar Tijani, confirmed the appointments in a formal statement on behalf of the government. He urged the new board members to continue striving for the advancement of football and sports development across Borno State.
The governor congratulated the appointees, expressing confidence in their ability to elevate the status of El-Kanemi Warriors FC and contribute to the overall progress of sports in the state.
