The white paper committee on the review of public service rules and financial regulations has submitted its report to the state government for consideration and possible implementation.

Presenting the report to Governor Muhammadu Yahaya through the Secretary to Government of Gombe, Professor Ibrahim Njodi, the chairman of the white paper committee Daudu Abdussalam, remarked that the white paper report was put together based on the instruments of the initial report and the individual experiences of the committee members who have at one point served the State Government.
He said, “if the report is implemented the State Government will find it much easier and convenient in administering the State Civil Service.
The committee chairman urge the state government to dispassionately look at the report and see what it can implement in the short and long term for the benefit of both the serving and retired civil servants.
While appreciating Governor Yahaya for giving members of the committee the opportunity to serve the State, the former Permanent Secretary with the State Government assured the of their readiness to serve each time their service is so needed.
Receiving the report on behalf of Governor Yahaya, the Secretary to Government of the State, Professori express gratitude to the white paper committee for speedy completion of their assignment.
Professor Njodi noted that with the presentation of the white paper report, the State Government is getting to the climax of its commitment to bring sanity and inject vigor and energy into the State Civil Service.
The SSG further remarks that the white paper reports on Public Service Rules and Financial Regulations etc will open avenues for the State Government to look areas desirous of administrative intervention.
He describe most laws governing the civil service as obsolete hence the need for government to come with committees that can chart a contemporary way forward.a
He disclosed that the administration is committed to reforming the public service in general
