Youths in Bali Local Government Area of Taraba State, under the umbrella of Peoples Democratic Party elite youth, on Friday kicked against the order by the state lawmaker representing Bali (I) constituency, directing the local government council chairman to remove the council cashier.

Periscope Nigeria reports that the alleged lawmaker, Mrs Veronica Alhassan, has admitted giving the order for the removal of the council cashier Mr David Dinishiya, to be replace by her biological younger sister, Mrs Afiniki Nyishi.
Meanwhile, the group leader, Hon. Ismaila Umaru, appealed to governor Agbu Kefas to intervene in the situation and call the assembly member to redirect her steps to avoid disorganisation of PDP in Bali LGA.
Umaru while speaking to journalists in journalists, described the assembly member’s action as a display of nepotism, and reckless claim of political dominance.
“We want to appeal to governor Agbu Kefas to call the member Taraba state House of Assembly representing Bali (I), constituency to redirect her steps to avoid PDP being thrown into crisis in Bali. Her attitude and actions is becoming unbearable.
“During the last congresses, Hon. Mrs. Alhassan unilaterally selected ward and local government delegates without consulting other party stakeholders. Now she has ordered the Local Government chairman to remove the cashier and replace him with her biological younger sister without due process.
“We made series of efforts to enable her understand and withdraw her order against the cashier but she ignored us. The cashier is one of the PDP right hand man that make things happen for PDP in Bali. Removing him without due process is as good as telling youths in Bali to vacate the people’s Democratic party PDP.
“We made her the lawmaker she is today. People initially rejected her candidacy but we worked tirelessly to ensure the party success because of the same person she has ordered for his removal.
“We are calling on His Excellency, Dr Agbu Kefas and State Working Committee of the party to call Veronica to order before she destroys our party-the PDP in Bali. Removing the cashier would be a disaster for the party in the local government”. The group leader cautioned.
When contacted, Alhassan, the Bali (l) state assembly representative confirmed the development.
“Yes, I asked the council chairman to remove him. He is my boy. I am the one that put him there so, what is bad if I ask the chairman to remove him for my younger sister?.
“I want him removed because he is eating people’s salaries. People have been complaining to me for the past 10 mouths, and I want him remove.
“I put the young man in that position, I can remove him anytime I want. There is nothing wrong with that. My sister is a married woman and has her own life. She is qualified to occupy any position.
“I have the right to remove anybody in any position to put her. There is nothing wrong with that,” The Assembly member, Alhassan defended.
