The fourth Amplify In-depth Media Conference and Awards is just around the corner, scheduled to take place on December 8-9, 2024.
PERISCOPE NIGERIA reports that this year’s event will be a virtual conversation, exploring the intersection of media credibility, investigative reporting, and artificial intelligence.
Tolu Ogunlesi, Managing Partner at WoweMedia and former Special Assistant to Nigeria’s former president, Muhammadu Buhari, will deliver the keynote address on the conference theme.
The event will also feature panel discussions with experts like David Ajikobi, Victoria Bamas, and Jeff Lowenstein on the first day, and an inter-generational conversation with Dayo Duyile, Simon Kolawole, and others on the second day.
The conference will culminate in the 19th Wole Soyinka Award for Investigative Reporting Award presentation ceremony, which will take place physically at the AGIP Recital Hall of the MUSON Centre in Lagos on December 9, 2024. The award will recognise excellence in investigative journalism across various categories.
The event is hosted by the Wole Soyinka Centre for Investigative Journalism as part of its Civic Space Guard programme, in collaboration with the Centre for Journalism Innovation and Development and supported by the Netherlands Embassy.
