The Acting Vice-Chancellor of Gombe State University, Professor Sani Yauta, has congratulated Dr Ishiyaku Adamu of the Department of Political Science on his well-deserved appointment as the Executive Secretary of the Gombe State Disability Commission.
Yauta said the establishment of the Gombe State Disability Commission and the enactment of the Disability Protection Bill 2024 are transformative milestones that aligns with the principles of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 10 (Reduced Inequalities) and Goal 4 (Quality Education), adding further that these bold initiatives reaffirms Gombe State’s commitment to fostering inclusion, empowerment, and accessibility for persons with disabilities.
In the statement made available to PERISCOPE NIGERIA in Gombe, Professor Yauta who personally signed the statement also extended profound appreciation to Governor Muhammadu Yahaya, for his visionary leadership and for once again entrusting a distinguished member of the GSU community with a key position. This appointment, he said, exemplifies the exceptional caliber of professionals nurtured by the institution.
He said, “On behalf of the Council, Senate, Management, Staff, and Students of Gombe State University. I wish to extend heartfelt congratulations to Mal. Ishiyaku Adamu of the Department of Political Science on his well-deserved appointment as the Executive Secretary of the Gombe State Disability Commission.”
According to him, “This significant accomplishment is a testament to Mal. Adamu’s unwavering dedication, competence, and the trust reposed in him by His Excellency, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON.”
