President Bola Tinubu has made changes to his list of nominees for the board of the South-East Development Commission (SEDC), appointing Dr Emeka Nworgu as the new chairman in place of the previous nominee, Hon. Emeka Atuma.
The President made changes by replacing all three initially appointed executive directors and additionally appointed two more executive directors.
The President also removed one of the board members, Donatus Eyinnah Nwankpa.
Hon. Mark C. Okoye continues in his role as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Commission, serving on a 16-member board, which now includes one additional member compared to the original board.
The position of executive director for finance is now held by Stanley Ohajuruka, who has replaced Anthony Ugbo as indicated in the initial list.
Toby Okechukwu has taken on the role of executive director of projects, replace Obinna Obiekweihe. Additionally, Chief Sylvester Okonkwo has been appointed as the executive director of corporate services, replacing Dr. Daniel Ikechukwu Ugwuja.
The two nominated executive directors without a portfolio are Chidi Echeazu and Dr Clifford Ogbede.
The President retained Barrister Ugochukwu Agballah, Hon. Okey Ezenwa, Chief Hyacinth Ikpor, Barr. Ifeanyi Agwu, Nasiru Usman and Hamma Adama Ali Kumo.
The other nominees retained are Edward David Onoja, Orure Kufre Inima and Chief (Mrs.) Joke Adebayo-Chukwuma
