Pastor Idowu Iluyomade, the former senior pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God’s City of David Parish, has launched a new ministry called The Family Fellowship.
This development comes after Iluyomade’s suspension by RCCG in 2024.
The pastor announced the new ministry on Instagram, inviting the public to attend.

“The Family Fellowship invites you specially. Join us tomorrow at the Civic Centre for a special time in the Lord’s presence. Promises to be a great experience,” he wrote.
Iluyomade’s suspension on June 6, 2024 by RCCG followed controversy surrounding his wife’s 60th birthday celebration, which took place shortly after the death of a prominent church member, Herbert Wigwe.
According to a senior pastor within the church, the suspension was prompted by public outrage over the extravagant birthday celebration of Iluyomade’s wife, which took place shortly after the death of Herbert Wigwe, the former CEO of Access Bank
The RCCG Governing Council’s investigation led to Iluyomade’s three-month suspension and reassignment to worship at the church’s headquarters.
