Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of Nigeria’s Labour Party, received an invitation to attend Donald Trump’s inauguration as the 47th President of the United States.

However, due to pressing national matters, Obi won’t be attending, and instead, Senator Nenadi Esther Usman, the National Caretaker Committee Chairman of the Labour Party, represented him and the party.
“As I prepare to represent our party and our nation’s interests at the inauguration of Donald Trump, I am reminded of the importance of dialogue and diplomacy in shaping a better future,” Usman tweeted. “Ready to engage, listen, and advocate for our people.”
Donald Trump’s return to the White House comes after a four-year gap, following his previous reelection.
At 78 years old, Trump has been sworn in for second term as President of the United States.
