The founding chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Bisi Akande, has argued that only lazy people are hungry in Nigeria under his party’s leadership.
The 86-year-old said this during a State Affairs with Edmund Obilo programme.
In the viral video, as posted by the renowned broadcast journalist Rufai Oseni on X, Akande also noted that insecurity under Bola Ahmed Tinubu has greatly improved compared to what was obtainable under former President Muhammadu Buhari, adding that there will be peace in Nigeria.
Come to my compound; I will give you plenty of tomatoes. If you are lazy, you will be hungry in Nigeria. A seed of corn, put on soil, and after about three months, you have about 1,600 seeds. Only lazy people are hungry in Nigeria,” Akande said.
