A potbellied 54-year-old Sowore is old enough to be Seyi Tinubu’s father and should be ashamed of lying against him.
It beats my imagination how Omoyele Sowore can make unfounded allegations against Seyi Tinubu, a man young enough to be his own son.
Speaking about the proposed National Youth Conference announced by President Bola Tinubu in his 64th Independence Day broadcast last year, Mr. Sowore told Channels Television that:
“The agenda is to compensate some young people who are in their corner. These young people they are calling to a conference are probably Seyi Tinubu’s friends, not Nigerian youths.”
He is not even sure of what he is claiming, hence the use of the word ‘probably’. How can you go on national television to make such a strong accusation on a probability?
And then, Sowore said:
“They cannot afford to have the real youths on the table. If I am invited, I will not go because I know in advance that this is a joke, nothing will come out of this.”
“If I am invited?” How can a potbellied fifty four year old Sowore be posturing for an invite to a youth conference? Is he a youth or a grandfather?
For now, the youths to attend have not been selected, and the selection modalities have not been publicised. So how can Sowore know it is a jamboree for Seyi Tinubu’s friends?
The truth is that he cannot know. He is just an anarchist against anything that can lead to peace and prosperity in Nigeria.
Omoyele Sowore cannot thrive in an atmosphere of peace, so he likes instigating anarchy.
How, for example, could he have organised the Days of Rage protests in August last year, claiming, among other things, that the government was not listening to Nigeria’s youths? Now that the government is preparing to host a youth confab so Nigerian youths can be heard and make input into the government, the same Omoyele Sowore is attacking the idea he promoted as a jamboree to compensate Seyi Tinubu’s friends.
I mean, this is the height of irresponsibility. It almost looks as if the fellow has multiple personalities. It just shows that Sowore’s aim is anti-Nigerian youths, and he may have been sponsored by a foreign government to achieve that. We remember how his Days of Rage protest turned into a Russian flag-waving event.
Like a typical manipulator, Sowore wants a crisis in Nigeria because that is when he can do his best work.
Nigerian youths know this about Sowore, which is why they publicly disgraced him during the #EndSARS protest when he tried to steal the show in Abuja.
Sowore should note that by February, he will be fifty-four years old, old enough to be a grandfather. He is not a youth. His attempt to style himself as a youth led to an epic failure, as he only polled 14,608 votes out of approximately thirty million votes.
Omoyele Sowore should focus on using his rag media outlet to malign, blackmail, and libel those against whom he has a grudge.
