Stan Alieke, the lawyer representing Nigerian singer Speed Darlington, has announced his withdrawal from legal representation amid the ongoing defamation case involving Speed Darlington and Burna Boy.

Alieke, who is the principal attorney at Law Capitol, confirmed the decision in a statement on his Instagram post which was shared by mazitundeedut, publicly severing ties with the controversial singer.
“I and my law firm (Law Capitol) have officially withdrawn from legally representing Mr. Darlington Achakpo, popularly known as Speed Darlington/Akpi, and henceforth cease to act as his legal attorneys,” the statement read.
The decision comes shortly after Speed Darlington’s recent release from prison, marking the conclusion of their professional relationship.
Alike had been instrumental in managing the legal disputes tied to the singer’s public controversies.
The circumstances surrounding the withdrawal remain unclear, but it adds a new layer of complexity to the defamation case that has garnered significant attention in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
