The Kano State Government has urged the Nigerian Army’s 3 Brigade Kano to collaborate with other security agencies to ensure peace in the state.
Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf made this call during the West African Social Activities event hosted by the Commander of the 3 Brigade Infantry, Nigerian Army, at Bukavu Barracks, Kano.
Governor Yusuf was represented by Director-General Special Service AVM Ibrahim Umaru (RTD).
He said, “I implore you to work in collaboration with other security agencies to bring peace and harmony to our dear state.
“Your unwavering loyalty, sacrifices, and hard work are highly appreciated, so I urge you to keep doing good work.”
The governor praised the Brigade’s contributions to maintaining peace and tranquility in the state, saying, “Today, I am proud to say that Kano is one of the safest, if not the safest, states in the nation currently.”
Governor Yusuf assured the military of his administration’s continued support, stating, “We will continue to give the Nigerian Army maximum support at all times.” He also appreciated the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General OO Oluyede, and other military personnel for their efforts.
The governor concluded by emphasising the importance of collaboration and shared cultural experiences in achieving a more cohesive and harmonious society. “The door is always open to table your requests, and we will keep doing our best to make Kano better in peace,” he said.
