In a move set to boost economic development and cooperation, the African Network Centre has facilitated a historic partnership between the Yobe State Government and the Moroccan Government.

An advance team from Yobe State, led by Secretary to the State Government Baba Malam Wali, has arrived in Morocco to lay the groundwork for the partnership.

This was contained in a press statement signed by Abdulazeez Sani, which was obtained by PERISCOPE NIGERIA on Tuesday in Nigeria.

The team includes key stakeholders such as Hon. Mustapha Ali Goniri, Commissioner of Agriculture; Prof. Bello Kawuwa, Commissioner for Higher Education; and Hon. Ibrahim Adamu Jajere, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.

“We are proud to be supporting this initiative and look forward to seeing the positive outcomes of this partnership,” said Hon Ahmed Shuaibu Gara-Gombe, Team Lead of African Network Centre.

Gara-Gombe added that the partnership aims to explore investment opportunities in areas such as agricultural empowerment, education and security, entrepreneurial development, local government administration, and investment and partnerships.

According to the African Network Centre, this partnership is expected to have a significant impact on the economic development of Yobe State and strengthen ties between Nigeria and Morocco.
