With over three decades of experience in journalism, Chief Ngwakwe has established himself as a respected voice in the industry. His wealth of knowledge and expertise has been invaluable in shaping the careers of numerous journalists and communication professionals.

 

Currently, Chief Ngwakwe serves as a Mass Communications Lecturer at the Federal University Kashere, Gombe, where he continues to inspire and mentor students. His dedication to education and his passion for journalism have made him a beloved figure among his students and colleagues.

Chief Ngwakwe’s impressive credentials are further bolstered by his traditional title, Akaraka Abia, which is a testament to his esteemed reputation and contributions to his community.

His Barunde community, owing to his contribution to social development is fondly referred to as ‘Sarkin Talakawa’, a title that encapsulates his love for the people.

Chief Sir Ben Ngwakwe has served as Special Assistant to Gombe State Government under the leadership of the former Governor, Senator Mohammed Danjuma Goje who is currently a Senator of Federal Republic of Nigeria as SA.

He has served also as a Personal Assistant to Gombe State Government under the administration of Senator Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo who is currently a serving Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as his PA.

He a member of many Professional bodies such as

• A pioneer member of Nigeria Union of Journalists, Gombe State Council.
• A member of Society of Nigerian Broadcasters.

Community Service :

• First elected Public Relations Officer, Igbo Delegates Assembly made up of 19 Northern States and FCT, Abuja for North East zone.
• Vice President – General,Igbo Community Welfare Association, Gombe State.
Longest served Secretary – General, Igbo Community Welfare Association, Gombe State.

Sir Ben Ngwakwe was a member of Knight of St.John International, KSJ and Jerusalem Pilgrimage, JP.

On this special day, we celebrate not only Chief Ngwakwe’s professional achievements but also his personal qualities that have endeared him to many. His commitment to his family, his love for his wife and children, and his generosity of spirit are just a few of the qualities that make him an exceptional individual.

As Chief Ngwakwe marks another year of life, we wish him continued good health, happiness, and success. May his birthday be the beginning of an incredible year ahead, filled with joy, love, and celebration.
