Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, was on Thursday represented by a high-powered government delegation led by the Commissioner for Woman Affairs, Asmau Iganus, was at the funeral service of the late Mama Baturiya Bilal held at the ECWA Church Tal Billiri LGA.






Iganus conveyed the governor’s deepest condolences and exoled the good vitures of late Mama Baturiya describing her as one who lived an examplary life especially owing to her commitment in service to God and Humanity.
PERISCOPE NIGERIA reports that the deceased was until her death a member of Girls Brigade and a devoted Christian as testified by the Church, family members and traditional institution.
Rev. Ibrahim Joda in his sermon taken from the book of Ecleciaties six titled “when you trained your children, your death will be a blessing” charged the congregation on the imperative of training the younger ones in the way of the Lord to prepare them for the home beyond.
Rev. Joda also enjoined children to be obedient to their parents for them to attract more reward and blessings from God Almighty.
The funeral service attracted sympathisers from far and wide including Mohammed Sai’du Fawu, Commissioner Water, Environment & Forest Resources, Special Advisers/ Chairmen of Board from Gombe South, Local Government Chairmen, Gombe South and members of the Task force on the closure of gala and joints among other government officials.
