Rev. Gideon Para-Mallam, the CEO of the foundation also urged the international community to step up diplomatic efforts to secure the release of Leah Sharibu who has now spent seven years in hands of the Boko Haram with romour of having three children from different husband.

“While I appeal to Boko Haram and other terrorist groups to release people in their captivity, especially Leah Sharibu, I wish to urge President Bola Tinubu, to build on the previous administration’s efforts to secure Leah’s release.

“I want to also call on the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu to intervene as a mother.

“It’s disheartening that Leah is still in captivity while all other adoptees have been freed,” he lamented.

The Para-Mallam CEO also called for a unified effort across religious and ethnic lines to demand for Leah’s freedom.
