Today, March 20, 2025, marks a significant milestone in the life of Rt. Rev. Cletus Ajigben Tambari, the Lord Bishop of Gombe Diocese, as he celebrates his 5-year anniversary of consecration. This occasion is a testament to his selfless leadership, spiritual guidance, and unwavering commitment to the growth and development of the diocese.



As the youngest Bishop in the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Bishop Tambari has demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities, administrative acumen, and spiritual guidance. His consecration in 2020 by the immediate past Archbishop, Metropolitan, and Primate of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, His Grace, Most Rev. Nicholas Okoh (rtd.), marked the beginning of a new era of growth and development in the diocese.
Over the past five years, Bishop Tambari has provided spiritual leadership, administrative oversight, and representative guidance to the diocese. His commitment to transparency, accountability, integrity, hard work, and love for God has endeared him to the hearts of many. The diocese has witnessed a turnaround in physical development, and his spiritual leadership has been pronounced.
Bishop Tambari’s achievements are numerous, and his impact on the diocese is undeniable. He has provided pastoral care, teaching, and preaching, as well as ordained and consecrated new clergy and sacred spaces. His administrative responsibilities have included overseeing diocesan administration, clergy oversight, and governance.
As a champion of social justice, Bishop Tambari has spoken out on issues affecting the marginalized and vulnerable. He has also engaged in community outreach, building relationships with local community leaders, organizations, and other faith groups to promote understanding and cooperation.
As we celebrate this milestone, we pray for God’s continued guidance, protection, and wisdom upon Bishop Tambari’s life and ministry. We wish him happy anniversary and pray that God strengthens him, gives him the wisdom of King Solomon, good health, and divine protection as he continues to discharge his sacred duties.
