Commandant Gyama Gyawiya, State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Gombe State Command, has received on a courtesy visit Mr Wood Zhana, Managing Director of Real Golden Ocean Investment, a leading Company with interests in the mining sector, at the State Command Headquarters, Gombe.


Periscope Nigeria reports that the visit, marked an important milestone in NSCDC’s efforts to foster partnerships with key stakeholders in the private sector.
Zhana’s visit was aimed at exploring business opportunities in Gombe State, particularly in mining.
During the meeting, Zhana expressed his admiration for the NSCDC’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property in the State.
He acknowledged the Corps’ crucial role in enforcing mining laws and combating illegal mining practices, which have plagued the industry in recent years.
In his response, Commandant Gyawiya welcomed Zhana to Gombe assuring him that the state is safe for business.
He emphasised the NSCDC’s commitment to ensuring security for legitimate miners, enabling them to access the resources without hindrance.
“The NSCDC is dedicated to providing a secure environment for businesses to thrive,” Commandant Gyama, stated. “We recognise the importance of the mining sector to the economy of Gombe State and are committed to supporting legitimate mining operations.”
The Commandant also highlighted the NSCDC’s collaborative efforts with the Ministry of Solid Minerals at both State and Federal levels. He noted that the Corps is working closely with the Ministry to ensure that mining operations in the State are conducted in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations.
