The Gombe Network of Civil Society has extended its warmest greetings to the Muslim Ummah in Gombe State, Nigeria, and around the world on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr.
In a press statement signed on Sunday by its Chairman, Ibrahim Yusuf, GONET congratulated Muslims on the successful completion of Ramadan, emphasizing the values of peace, unity, compassion, and generosity that this sacred season embodies.
“As we mark the successful completion of Ramadan, a period of deep reflection, devotion, and sacrifice, we celebrate the values of peace, unity, compassion, and generosity that this sacred season embodies,” Yusuf stated.
GONET urged Muslims to continue upholding the spirit of Ramadan beyond the festive period by promoting love, kindness, and tolerance in their communities.
“This is a time to strengthen bonds, support one another, and extend hands of fellowship to the less privileged among us,” Yusuf added.
The organisation also called on citizens to pray for lasting peace, unity, and stability in the country, as well as for leaders to govern with wisdom, justice, and compassion.
“We also encourage prayers for our leaders at all levels, that they may govern with wisdom, justice, and compassion, prioritizing the well-being of the people, particularly the vulnerable and disadvantaged in society,” Yusuf said.
GONET urged everyone to celebrate responsibly and continue contributing to the growth and progress of the nation.
“Once again, we wish all Muslims Eid Mubarak! May this Sallah bring peace, joy, and prosperity to all,” Yusuf concluded.
