Mrs Beatrice Onuekwuzu Ibegbu nee Nwagbara was born 80 yrs ago to the family of Elder Marcus Nwagbara of Umuyota Ancient Kingdom in OHUHU, Umuahia North LGA of Abia state.
She lived in several railway cities in the North and got married to late Elder Dick Chukwubuikem Ibegbu of Umuezereola, Umuawa Alaocha, Umuahia. She was extremely brilliant among her brothers and sisters but could not go further in her educational trajectory after their first daughter Da Baby got bethroded to a none igbo.
She got a scholarship in those days which was scuttled by her marriage. Nonetheless she developed herself in the course of time and Retired as a Library officer in Abia Polytechnic Aba after working many years at IMT Enugu, a place her husband also worked.

Mrs Ibegbu has seven children whom she imbued with Igbo patriotism.
She narrated her experience during the Biafra war. A reminder that war is a tragedy that affects everyone
May God continue to lead her as she ages gracefully.
A devout Christian of Methodist faith, Mrs Ibegbu is a rallying point for several women groups and organisations.
