The Second Bishop in the Diocese of Gombe, Anglican Communion, Church of Nigeria, Rt. Rev’d Cletus Ajigben Tambari is 40 years.
The young Cletus Ajigben Tambari was born at Vom Christian Hospital on 9th April 1985 to the family of Rev’d and Mrs Cletus Tambari Cham in Gombe State.
Cletus attended Pilot Science Primary School Cham from 1993-1995, Government Day Secondary School Cham from 1998 – 2001 where he obtained his Junior School Certificate (J.S.C.E) and later, had his Senior Secondary education at Government Science Secondary School Gombe from 2001 – 2004, where he obtained his Senior School Certificate in Education respectively.

This highly celebrated youngest priest in the Church of Nigeria also had his Diploma in Theology from the Christian Institute (C.I) Jos from 2008 – 2011 and also had his Bachelor of Divinity (BD) from the prestigious Theological College of Northern Nigeria (TCNN).
Desirous of higher education, he proceeded to University of Jos, Plateau State where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts (BA) from 2016 – 2019 and also his Masters in Systematic Theology from Theological College of Northern Nigeria (TCNN) as the best graduating students in his field in 2022.

His life’s philosophy and his pillar of faith is always ; “I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me, taken from Phil. 4:13.
Bishop Cletus is hardworking, dedicated, committed, humble and calm in his journey of life as a priest of God coupled with his experiences garnered over the years as a result of working with God who called him to serve his people like Moses in the Bible.
He has worked various places notably was the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Bauchi as a sexton from 2004 – 2005 and later joined Gombe Diocese in 2006 as an Evangelist.
Bishop Cletus Ajigben Tambari has participated in rural mission outreach to villages in Gombe Diocese while in 2011, he had his diaconate ordination in 2011 and his priesthood ordination in 2012 respectively.

He served as the Bishop’s chaplain from 2012 -2020 and was preferred a statutory Canon by His Grace, The Most Rev. Henry C. Ndukuba in 2019 who is currently the Primate of Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion.
Cletus served as the Canon theologian and the Bishop’s Examining chaplain and by divine purpose, The Rev. Canon Cletus Ajigben Tambari was elected the second Bishop of the Diocese of Gombe in 2020 in Kogi State.
He has attended Church Based Faith conferences, seminars and workshops both in Nigeria and outside the country in an attempt to deepen himself in the works of God and spread the good news of God’s Kingdom here on earth
He is married to Evangelist Mrs Rejoice Cletus Ajigben, and they are blessed with four children.
