The Secretary to Government of Gombe State, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, has challenged the people of Ture in Kaltungo Local Government to be deliberate in their approach towards the development of their community.

The SGS stated this when he granted the audience to a group of leaders led by Major Peter Yazu (Retd.)

He urged the community leaders to consider the establishment of an education endowment fund for the benefit of the future generation.

He stressed that if Ture community eventually establishes an endowment fund it would support the development of  young individuals, especially the less privileged, adding that beneficiaries of the gesture will forever remain grateful to the community.

The SGS had while assuring members of the Community of government continued support to the provision of basic amenities in the area, adding that government alone can not shoulder responsibility of every citizen.

He said with many competing demands, meeting the needs of every citizen in the state becomes practically impossible hence, the need for groups and individuals to complement government effort.

Njodi further advised the community to formally forward their demands seeking   for  additional Village Head, Construction of Ture district Head Palace and water supply among others in writing.

On Politics, the SGS cautioned  people of Ture community on the negative effect of being in the opposition calling on them to always support the ruling government for the progress and development of the area.

Earlier in their separate remarks, leader of the delegation Major Peter Yazu (Retd.) and Professor Salisu Ali Rakum, said they were in the Government House to identify, and appreciate the good leadership of the state under Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for his prudent developmental policies.

While thanking the governor for the provision of healthcare, educational facilities, creation of one additional village Head, provision of water among other social amenities further appealed to the state government to explore a tourism potential abound in the area which include  Lapantun water falls to serve as tourists attraction centre and the need for a museum at the Tomb of Lt.
